Kindship has evolved beyond just connecting parents of children with disabilities. We now offer NDIS Plan Management with a unique feature: meet Barb, Kindship’s NDIS Navigator in your pocket. More than just an AI tool, Barb is your personal mentor for NDIS advice, offering clear, practical guidance to manage your child's care. Barb's capabilities include personalized solutions for your family, budget analysis to optimize NDIS spending, and simplified visual breakdowns of your child's NDIS plan. With Barb, you get 24/7 advice, activity ideas, resources, reporting tools, and more, tailored to your child's unique needs. Barb is exclusively available to Kindship Plan Management members, helping you navigate the NDIS with ease.

2. TYPES OF PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

The types of personal information we collect depend on your interactions with us and may include:

  • Name;
  • Email address;
  • Mobile phone number;
  • Location data;
  • Bio;
  • Your child's name and gender identity;
  • Your child's date of birth;
  • Health information about your child, including diagnoses, therapies, etc.;
  • NDIS plan and budget details


If you are a volunteer or job applicant we may also collect information about your education and employment history, and if you are a service provider, we may collect information related to the provision of services to us.

3. WAYS WE COLLECT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We collect personal information directly from you via our App, website, social media, email, or telephone. This can include information you provide as a parent or guardian, or that we receive from submitted NDIS plans. We also use cookies and similar technologies to collect information via our website.

4. COLLECTION OF INFORMATION VIA OUR WEBSITE

At Kindship, our website employs cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your browsing experience. These small files store data on your device, allowing us to recognize your preferences across various online platforms. While you may disable cookies via your internet browser, please note that this may affect our website's functionality.

Our website analytics do not use browsing data to personally identify you. Instead, we collect generalized information such as page visits, session times, search engine referrals, and your device's internet protocol address. Additionally, we use web beacons - electronic images for aggregating user visits on our website, not for accessing personal information. This technology assists us in understanding user engagement and improving our website.

5. PURPOSES FOR WHICH WE COLLECT, USE AND DISCLOSE PERSONAL INFORMATION

Some of these individuals and organisations may be located outside of Australia including Nepal.

8. ZERO DATA RETENTION FOR CONVERSATIONS WITH BARB

In line with our commitment to privacy, we implement a Zero Data Retention policy specifically for interactions with Barb, our AI assistant. This means that conversational data with Barb is:

  • Not logged for human review.
  • Not stored persistently in the cloud or on any disk.
  • Only held temporarily in memory during the interaction.This policy ensures that your conversations with Barb are private and secure, adhering to the highest standards of data protection.

9. SECURITY AND STORAGE

Your personal information is stored electronically on Australia-based servers across our IT infrastructure suppliers, including Google, Amazon, Microsoft, DigitalOcean, Intercom, and Planability. We take steps to protect your information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorized access, modification, or disclosure.

In addition to storing your personal information on Australia-based servers, it's important to acknowledge the global aspect of our data handling. Our use of third-party service providers and certain features of third-party applications may involve access to your information by entities located outside Australia. This international access is necessary for the functionality of these third-party applications and services. Despite this, we are committed to protecting your information from misuse, loss, unauthorized access, modification, or disclosure, maintaining the highest standards of data security and privacy.

Our services, including interactions with Barb, utilize advanced AI technology. We are committed to ethical AI use, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and fairness in all AI-assisted interactions. Our AI systems are designed to enhance your experience while respecting your privacy and data security.
